McDowell Nature Preserve is an 1,100 acre preserved slice of nature paradise in the south west corner of Charlotte, NC with 6 miles of hiking/biking trails, 56 campsites, an educational nature center and fishing/boating/kayaking opportunities on Lake Wylie.
